Ana Laura Gonzalez
Ana has been involved in photography for
over 25 years. Mainly self-taught, she uses the camera as a tool to
portray the world as it can still be found in some corners of the planet. A love for the natural world, its wild creatures and spaces, has taken Ana to Africa on four separate occasions. There, she captured on film the day-to-day activities of numerous species of animals living free and unrestrained. Closer to home, she finds spectacular images in her travels throughout the United States and Canada. | ![]() ![]() |

![]() Leaf Sculpture at Wilson | Gay LeonhardtWorking in assemblage, watercolor, photography, and digital art Gay Leonhardt has had solo shows since 1980 in galleries in the Woodstock, N.Y. area including The Kleinert Gallery (two shows), The Women’s Studio Workshop, and The Center for Photography at Woodstock (two shows).Beginning in 1983 with "Waiting On Godot" Leonhardt has published artist’s books including two texts with Boss Books: "My Laundry and My Life or My Life in My Laundry" (93) and "This Year’s Summation" (95). She often incorporates words in her primarily visual art and visuals in her written material. She has pursued an art career outside of the marketplace through installation and guerilla art. Initially, she co-founded The Floating Gallery, which mounted shows in supermarkets, storefronts, and other public arenas. She later installed "This Year’s Summation" in restaurant bathrooms next to paper towel holders. In 2005 she installed “snow fence art” comprised of bits of painted snow fencing at various beaches in Amagansett and Montauk, NY. Her generalist approach has included numerous collaborations. In theater with Sigrid Heath in 1996 Leonhardt created seven foot charcoal figures that became the characters for a play. In 1997-98 she collaborated with Richard Edelman to shoot and manipulate a series of photographs which were shown at The Kleinert, the SUNY/Westchester Gallery, in The Digital Salon at The School of Visual Arts in New York, and the Circule De Bellas Artes, Madrid. In 2004 she collaborated with Nancy Rullo, a poet, to create images and texts that were presented at The Center for Photography at Woodstock. In 2007 she had a solo show at Donskoj & Co in Kingston, NY of artists's books and framed images from the books. In recent years Leonhardt has focused on artist’s books and digital art. ![]() Road to SomewhereFall in the Hudson Valley is truly magnificent. Any forest road will take my breath away and keep my brush going.20" x 16"Oil on Canvas | Evelyne Pouget began painting in 1992, inspired by the words of her
beloved teacher Baba Muktananda, who used to call her "the Painter"
years before Evelyne had ever picked up a brush or even considered
painting.
One day, while living in Stone Ridge , NY, she followed her instinct
and painted a portrait of her master. She and others were astounded by
the beauty of that painting and its remarkable likeness to Muktananda
considering that she had never painted before. Born in Paris, Evelyne traveled the world following her quest for culture and beauty. Her appreciation for art started when she lived in Rome, Italy then in NYC where she owned a graphic design studio for 20 years. Evelyne moved to Woodstock 15 years ago with her family. "I love this area, the quality of light, the lush vegetation, the mountains and the fields," Evelyne says. "Everywhere I look , it is so inspiring." Evelyne had 5 solo shows since 1999 and is a member of the Woodstock Artist association. |

Linda Richichi has been honored by the International Plein Air Painters (I.P.A.P.) organization."For
me, painting is a pilgrimage — a journey into the mystery of creation and,
through that sacred path, ultimately a journey into the deepest reaches of my
soul. If in my painting I am successful in reaching my goal, then I see it as a
bridge into you.
Whether I am painting in the breathtaking Hudson Valley, near Tuscan castles, or
on a sun-drenched beach in Maui, my intent is to capture the underlying
brilliance — the spiritual energy — that underlies all of nature. At this point
of my development, painting en plein air, absorbed into nature’s grand
silence of communication, with all of my senses acting as ready receptors to
whatever might be presented to me, seems to most further my mission of
discovery.
With intuition leading the way, I avoid focusing
on details to allow for a total immersion of self into the “greater” self that
surrounds me. Slowly, the world of form and color merges and shifts, separates
and impresses, the whole dissolving into an insistent mood of pure energy. It is
this distillation of both what is seen and not seen that I attempt to capture on
my canvas. When a mixture of color and form resonates in my being, when I feel
that I am at one with nature and that my painting is reflecting that union, then
I feel a sense of spiritual awakening. The magic is there and the painting is
complete. In
the end, it is my hope that through my painting I have passed along a bit of the
mystery to you which expands your view or our world." | ![]() Dock on the Hudson, Brass Anchor Marina - pastel

![]() | I am restless and open to evolution.I was born in the Dominican Republic and was raised both there and in the United States. I received a full scholarship to the Rhode Island School of Design. My work at RISD helped me to understand the creative process and how to problem solve. These skills allowed me to branch into different disciplines. I discovered the passion that fuels my work is the same, only the medium changes. I attended Brown University while still at RISD where I found the liberal arts curriculum more intellectually rigorous. After spending time in Italy and the Dominican Republic, I moved back to the United States, continued teaching at Parsons and privately and exhibited in group shows of Caribbean artists. I moved to Woodstock, New York in 1996. Living in a community of artists within the natural world, has allowed me to focus on my art in a way previously unencountered. |
