The wall behind the kitchen sink that you see in this photo was repaired and the faucet was surrounded in tiles to prevent water damage in the new kitchen.  | These kitchen cabinets were cleaned, all the dishes were washed, and the wall was painted by the boys themselves to improve their living environment.  |

After Dahlia left Peru after her three week stay in the summer of 2006, she left enough funding from her generous donors to allow Laura to continue working with the boys in Lucre. Along with psychologists, Mariela Centeno and Ninoska and Irasema Yavar, geologist, Elio Mar, and a wonderful musician, Laura was able to positively transform the living situation of the boys.
